Connect2Agent puts the spotlight on the Smyrna Georgia real estate market

Today, we put the spotlight on Smyrna Georgia. The following is an email interview I conducted with Connect2Agent member Susan Edwards, of Heritage Real Estate Brokers. Edwards sells real estate in Smyrna Georgia, and lent her insight into her local real estate market today.

First, how did you achieve the Goldline Research 2007 Most Dependable Award?

 

Goldline uses a rigorous proprietary research selection process. They chose Atlanta area candidates who were recognized for accomplishments, such as members of the Million Dollar Club, Cobb Board of Realtors Top Achievers and agents who were members of two or more Multiple Listing Services--giving their home sale listings greater exposure--and agents taking pride in maintaining the highest standard of performance and application of Georgia Real Estate Law. 

Several clients of each agent were interviewed about the transactions that the agent had handled for them. What should buyers know about the current market in Smyrna Georgia?

There is a good inventory of homes in Smyrna Georgia. West Cobb areas such as Smyrna provide more home for the dollar and you will get a newer home-and larger home--than East Cobb area, where prices are higher.

What should sellers know about the current market in Smyrna Georgia?

Price your home to sell. It is important to know the current market and not overprice, as you may lose a buyer who could have afforded your home. Price it closer to what you actually want for your home than putting in a "cushion," as you may lose buyers who would have found your home in their price range.

How did the drought affect real estate in your area?

I do not feel the drought affected real estate in my area. We still have water--it's more a distribution issue. 

Have their been any new regulations to help stem the problem from recurring?

I believe state officials are working on changing things for the future. Homeowners have become more conservative.

What advice can you provide to buyers who will be relocating to Smyrna Georgia?

Please call me and I will guide you through a wonderful home purchase experience in Smyrna. It is an easy commute to downtown, midtown, I-285 and has a great Smyrna Market Square with shops and restaurants.

Will the economic stimulus package have an affect on the real estate market in Smyrna Georgia?

We are confident that the economic stimulus package should have a positive effect on on the Smyrna Georgia, area.
